High Pressure Water Mist System
Product Category:Fire Fighting System
LJ-SAFE® High-Pressure Water Mist System
The LJ-SAFE® high-pressure water mist system generates extremely fine water mist by forcing water through water mist nozzles under high pressure.
LJ-SAFE® Water Mist System with Closed Nozzles
This system serves as a standby system, maintained at a pump pressure of approximately 12 bar. When the temperature exceeds 57°C, for example, the heat-sensitive glass bulb installed in the nozzle head ruptures. At this point, the high-pressure pump is automatically activated, and water is discharged through the nozzle at high pressure (60 or 100 bar, depending on the nozzle type), generating fine water mist. Only the nozzles whose glass bulbs have ruptured are activated, meaning that the water mist discharge is confined to the heat-affected area only.
LJ-SAFE® Water Mist System with Open Nozzles
This system serves as a primary/standby fire extinguishing system for machinery spaces, featuring dry piping. The system is activated manually or upon detection of heat, smoke, or flame by sensors, depending on the system type and application. Nozzles are grouped into zones, and all nozzles within an activated zone are discharged simultaneously.
LJ-SAFE® Water Mist System in Operation
During operation, the high-pressure pump draws water from the unit-mounted water tank (non-pressurized stainless steel tank) and forces it through a check valve to the high-pressure manifold. From there, water is distributed through zone control valve to the respective zones. A pressure relief valve controls the pump pressure and is capable of returning the full pump flow to the unit-mounted water tank.
